Nonprofit organization that provides a child-friendly, non-institutional forensic interview to children that allege abuse. Children Advocacy Centers also help to coordinate all local agencies that take a role in the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse cases.

ChildSafe is a Child Advocacy Center, the only one in Bexar County that provides specialized services to children that have abused, neglected or sexually abused. Provides a safe, child friendly environment where law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, and medical and mental health professionals can share information and coordinate strategies sensitive to the needs of each unique case and child. Multi-disciplinary team (MDT), Family Support Specialists, Counselors, Therapists, and several programs which link families with community-based programs designed to strengthen family relationships and support the healthy, emotional, and physical development of children.

In-home and office-based counseling services are provided by masters-degreed, state-licensed counselors. Areas of expertise include: individual and family counseling; issues with grief or loss, parenting, substance abuse, and school or work place problems; depression, domestic violence, stress, grief support, child abuse and neglect anger management, crime victims, and more. Also offer various Employee Assistance services and crisis management.

Professional, compassionate & thorough mental health services to youth, adults & families. Master-level counselors provide counseling and therapy, including in-home counseling. Some issues addressed include depression, anxiety, personal loss/grief, alcohol or substance abuse, abuse or trauma, crisis stabilization and more.

Provides victims of domestic violence with coordinated integrated and systematic services. Includes crisis intervention, needs assessment, emergency assistance and counseling for children who have witnessed family violence or have been victims of sexual abuse by strangers. Provides other victims of crime with information on Crime Victims Compensation and other services. Services Include: Victims’ Services, Violence Prevention, Crisis Intervention Counseling, Case Management, Child & Family Counseling, Support Groups, Information & Referrals
