Readjustment counseling is a wide range of psychological social services offered to eligible Veterans and their families in the effort to make a successful transition from military to civilian life. They include Individual and group counseling for Veterans and their families, Family counseling for military related issues, Bereavement counseling for families who experience an active duty death, Military sexual trauma counseling and referral, Outreach and education including PDHRA, community events, etc., Substance abuse assessment and referral, Employment assessment and referral, VBA benefits explanation and referral, Screening and referral for medical issues including TBI, depression, etc.

Job Ready Training provides individuals with entry level to advanced workplace skills for high demand occupations in our changing marketplace. Approved through Texas Work Source, Veterans Affairs, and Department of Labor, JRT is currently serving Military spouses, disabled vets (20% or more disability rate) and we currently run a grant funded program that allows homeless female veterans and male veterans with families to receive vocational training with job placement assistance.

The Military Warriors Support Foundation was founded in 2007 by our Chief Executive Officer, retired 3 Star General, Leroy Sisco. General Sisco brings to the MWSF 42 years of service to our country and a rich background of experiences and leadership roles. The General has a great understanding of the many challenges our heroes face after being injured in service to our country. He has a tireless determination to assist those in greatest need. The National Resource Directory (www.nrd.gov) is a web site for wounded, ill and injured service members, veterans, their families and families of the fallen, and those who support them. The Directory provides over ten thousand services and resources available through governmental and non-governmental organizations to support recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration into the community. The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) is a DoD-wide effort to promote the well-being of National Guard and Reserve members, their families and communities, by connecting them with resources throughout the deployment cycle. Through YRRP events, Service members and loved ones connect with local resources before, during, and after deployments. Reintegration during post-deployment is a critical time for members of the Guard and Reserve, as they often live far from military installations and members of their units. Commanders and leaders play a critical role in assuring that Reserve Service members and their families attend YRRP events where they can access information on health care, education/training opportunities, financial, and legal benefits. We work in conjunction with federal partners, including the Small Business Administration and Departments of Labor and Veterans Affairs, to provide up-to-date and relevant information to the members of the all-volunteer force and their families.
