 Boerne Counseling & Consultant Service-Kathleen Gleason LPC-S

Counseling services provided to individuals, couples, children, adolescents, family and group. Ages served: 7-99 Ms. Gleason maintains several specialty areas such as forensics. She is recognized as a Diplomat Clinical Forensic Counselor, providing court testimony and has served as an expert/ treatment witness in many court cases. In addition, Ms. Gleason utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, with a psycho-educational approach for treatment of various issues including substance abuse and addiction counseling. Topics such as the disease concept, adult children of alcoholics, denial, family roles, codependency and recovery are taught. Additional issues addressed relate to Anxiety, Relationship, Communication, Grief and Loss, Stress, Trauma, Behavior, PTSD and Depression.

Hours: Mon-Thu 9am-5pm; some evenings

 Community Counseling Service of Our Lady of the Lake (OLLU)

Offers counseling services on a walk-in basis between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. A training facility for master and doctorate level students supervised by psychologist who perform counseling services: marriage and family, individual, biofeedback, anger management, family, abuse and violence.

 Crisis Center of Comal County- Domestic Violence Crisis Services

Offers crisis services for victims of domestic violence which includes 24-hour hotline, 24-hour emergency shelter, food, clothing, adult and children's counseling, case management, legal advocacy, assistance with applying for housing, information and referral, benefits and community education.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm; shelter always available.

 Jewish Family Service- Counseling and Case Management

COUNSELING: Psychotherapy/counseling services are provided to clients with a wide range of problems including life changes, depression, anxiety, trauma resolution, parent/child conflicts, marriage/family issues, and other challenging conditions. Playroom to treat children as young as 3 years old through play therapy. Mind Your Self is a client-centered practice specialized in treating Active Duty military members, Veterans, juveniles on probation, school counseling, behavioral health, health management, mild to severe mental illness, life coaching, vocational rehabilitation, sexual and domestic violence, and trauma/PTSD, along with a wealth of other issues. Mind Your Self treats children through geriatric ages and provides individual, family, couples/marriage, and group counseling. We also offer in-house services for those who have difficulty with transportation.
