The Court promotes sobriety, recovery and stability through a coordinated response that involves the cooperation and collaboration with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs health care networks, the Veterans Benefits Administration, volunteer Veteran mentors, Veterans family support organizations, the Center for Health Care Services and the Bexar County Veterans Services Office. Based on the successful Drug Court model, the Veterans Treatment Court will serve Veterans struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), addiction, mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders. The long term goal of this problem solving court is the restoration of the veteran's quality of life and the reduction of conflicts that might lead to additional incarceration events. This goal will be accomplished by providing the veteran with the treatment and supportive services.

Mind Your Self is a client-centered practice specialized in treating Active Duty military members, Veterans, juveniles on probation, school counseling, behavioral health, health management, mild to severe mental illness, life coaching, vocational rehabilitation, sexual and domestic violence, and trauma/PTSD, along with a wealth of other issues. Mind Your Self treats children through geriatric ages and provides individual, family, couples/marriage, and group counseling. We also offer in-house services for those who have difficulty with transportation.

The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) is a DoD-wide effort to promote the well-being of National Guard and Reserve members, their families and communities, by connecting them with resources throughout the deployment cycle. Through YRRP events, Service members and loved ones connect with local resources before, during, and after deployments. Reintegration during post-deployment is a critical time for members of the Guard and Reserve, as they often live far from military installations and members of their units. Commanders and leaders play a critical role in assuring that Reserve Service members and their families attend YRRP events where they can access information on health care, education/training opportunities, financial, and legal benefits. We work in conjunction with federal partners, including the Small Business Administration and Departments of Labor and Veterans Affairs, to provide up-to-date and relevant information to the members of the all-volunteer force and their families.
