CJC helps adults meet their educational and vocational goals as they move from dependency on others to God's sufficiency by learning job and life skills. CJC uses the Jobs for Life curriculum in addition to their own material. The Job and Life Skills Training Programs are tailored for each person’s needs.

Faith-based ministry to men, using mentoring to help participants to grow through job skills training.

A ministry of WMU (Woman's Missionary Union). A 501 (c)(3) Public Charity. Offers a 12-week, full-time, job and life skills training program. Classes conducted in Bible Study, personal finance, computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks), resume preparation, interviewing skills, and business etiquette. A mentor is provided for each student. All classes are conducted by trained volunteers. Also provides monthly CWJC alumni training program.

* Trained volunteers committed to providing a hand up to interns in need through education and spiritual development. * Mentoring, personal skills like money management, resume prep, interviewing skills, business etiquette, computer training, Bible study, self-esteem, jobs for life, healthy relationships. * Offers two 12-week sessions each year serving 12 women each session. Classes in Bible Study, personal finance, computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks), resume preparation, interviewing skills, and business etiquette. A mentor is provided for each student. Classes conducted by trained volunteers.

CORE services, for every client, include a first-visit expanded assessment and orientation to all programs offered by the agency. Clients are then introduced to the Career Center, including access to interest inventories and on-line skills courses, and individualized plans created for resume and interview preparation. Next is training in professional demeanor and attire to prepare for an employment interview. Once the client secures a job, she is invited back for employment suiting with additional education in continuity of professional appearance and attitude. She is also encouraged to join in on-going job retention and upward mobility activities. TIERED services include both formalized curricular training options in six to twelve week classes, including Financial Literacy and Empowerment and the Going Places Network, as well as 33 front-screen, no-cost, on-line courses, and links to many more. There are also groups for support, networking and leadership training. The pre-employment group is “Pick Your Future' and post-employment is the “Professional Women’s Group.' TIERED services also allow for ad hoc focus groups such as mock interview workshops or a discussion series for ex-offenders. All of these programs are explicated in the Service Plan.

Empowers transitioning U.S. military members, veterans and their spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce through workshops, personalized career coaching and employment preparation counseling. Our services are provided at no cost to the transitioning military member, veteran, or spouse. In our signature workshops and online programs, you are individually partnered with a highly-trained Veteran Transition Specialist who works to: •Create a tailored civilian resume that effectively highlights skills and achievements •Translate military experience into civilian terminology •Learn effective job search, strategic networking and interviewing techniques •Get connected with companies who want to hire veterans

Offers an academic achievement program at 18 targeted high schools that provides guaranteed college scholarships to qualifying graduating seniors. Provides the following services to eligible individuals: incentives/support for high school students; pre-college preparation services; and local college/university scholarships. Targeted high schools include: Burbank, Edison, Fox Tech, Harlandale, Highlands, Sam Houston, Jefferson, Kennedy, Lanier, Lee, Memorial, McCollum, South San, Southside, Southwest, Clark, Churchill, and Madison.

Provides training & employment services to low-income job seekers age 55 & older to assist them in securing unsubsidized employment in the public & private sectors. Participants earn while they learn, gaining competitive job skills & refining existing skills through paid, part-time, on-the-job training assignments at nonprofit organizations & government agencies. During training, participants earn minimum wage & provide valuable community services. Job counseling, employment referrals, resume & interview assistance, computer classes, & more.
