 Autism Treatment Center

Provides behavioral, educational, employment, residential, and diagnostic/assessment outpatient services to individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. The educational program is approved as non-public school through the Texas Education Agency. Regional school districts contract for year round day services. Vocational training occurs on community job sites and through participation in the Heart-to-Home, ATC's cottage industry. Residential services are provided in community based teaching homes. Two of the teaching homes are certified as residential treatment centers by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Three teaching homes are licensed as ICF/MR facilities, and serve adults. The emphasis of ATC is on Applied Behavioral Analysis, replacing challenging behaviors with functional communication and adaptive behaviors in a supportive and structured setting.

 Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas

The Epilepsy Foundation Central and South Texas (EFCST) serves the needs of those affected by epilepsy. Programs and services include comprehensive epilepsy clinics; case management; medication assistance; mental health counseling; advocacy; information and referral; community education; summer camps; youth transition programs; art therapy; brokering for social services; job preparation; support groups and health and fitness programs.

 Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)

Performs diagnostic examination, follow-up medical management, carrier testing counseling, assistance with purchases and repairs for manual & power wheelchairs & speech communication equipment, summer camp for youth age 6-21 with neuromuscular disorders, support groups and local research programs.  University Health System/Texas Diabetes Institute & Dialysis West

The Diabetes Treatment Center offers outpatient medical evaluation and treatment of diabetes and endocrine disorders by board-certified endocrinologists. On-site ophthalmology, podiatry, obstetrical and childrens endocrinology services are offered. Nurse case mangers serve as the patient’s link to TDI and assist in ensuring that all relevant services are provided to the patient and family. Individual, group and family counseling is provided by licensed maste's level social workers. State-of-the art equipment includes four hyperbaric chambers with a wound care clinic to a 28-station renal dialysis center. Diagnostic and support services for the various disciplines include laboratories, EKG, X-ray rooms, pharmacy and a rehabilitation area. Support groups held monthly: English speaking group on second Tues. and Spanish speaking group on third Thurday from 9am-11am.

Hours: Texas Diabetes Institute: Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 7:30am-6pm, Tuesday 7:30am-8pm, Friday 9am-6pm. Dialysis West Hours: Mon-Sat 5am-10am
