 Blueprint Ministries

Non-profit organization. Restores homes for elderly and disabled low income residents. Home repairs can range from roofing and dry wall repair to subflooring installation and painting. To be considered for assistance, an applicant must meet the following minimum standards: 1. Homeowners must live inside Loop 410 2. Homeowners must live in the home 3. The home must be in the applicant’s name 4. A homeowner must fall within Blueprint’s income guidelines (generally near or below the federal poverty level) 5. Blueprint does not perform major plumbing, electrical or foundation work. Work performed by volunteers.

 Casa Verde SA- Weatherization (City Public Service - CPS)

Weatherization assistance program to assist low-income homeowners and renters by installing upgrades that increase the energy efficiency of their houses and reduce utility bills. Partnership between the City of San Antonio and CPS Energy. Houses must be structurally sound. Casa Verde SA is NOT a home repair program. Administered by CPS Energy and uses local contractors and energy auditors to complete the work. Attic/wall insulation, caulking, weather-stripping, solar screens.

Under 1 Roof, the city of San Antonio‘s residential Roof Repair Program, will be replacing worn and damaged roofs in your neighborhood using energy-efficient white shingles. * under 1 Roof is a needs-based grant program for homeowners in select District 1 neighborhoods * Worn and damaged roofs will be repaired and energy-efficient white shingles installed. * Homeowner contribution is $0.00 * Impact of energy-efficient white shingles will be monitored for 1 year period to demonstrate the benefits

 City of San Antonio Neighborhood and Housing Services Department- Green & Healthy Home

Assist owners and landlords of residential properties built prior to 1978, housing low-income families with children under age six, to control hazards in the home which include lead-based paint and asthma. Also help with fire alarms, trip hazards, and bathroom modifications. Also provide education on the impact of lead on children. This program will provide two outreach agents to assist with application process. Target areas East and West side.

Exterior Paint and exterior minor repairs for District 5 homes. Extent of services: minor repairs to rotted trim and siding, prepare house for painting and paint house exterior.

Eligibility Requirements: Copy of warranty deed, current picture ID, 3 months pay stubs for all occupants in household, if self employed copy of income tax return, current award letter for Social security, retirement benefits, child support or any other public assistance

Tree trimming and brush removal services provided by alcohol and drug recovery persons with disabilities. No lawn services, only trees. Services in San Antonio, Austin, and surrounding communities. 501C3 Charity dedicated to the repair & rehabilitation of homes of military veterans & their families, the poor, elderly, & disabled.
