U.S. Government office with the purpose of helping consumers make smarter decisions about mortgages. Many tools on the website, including ability to find nearest HUD counselor by zip code. They can help you organize your finances, understand your mortgage options, and find a solution that works for you. To find a counselor by phone, call 1-800-569-4287.  Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA)

NACA is a non-profit, HUD Certified housing counseling agency, community advocacy & homeownership organization. NACA also provides free, comprehensive housing services. NACA counsels Members, taking each Member’s circumstances into account to determine whether they are ready for homeownership & what they can afford. NACA also provides property renovation assistance; the Home & Neighborhood Development ("HAND") Department addresses repair issues, and where appropriate provides rehab assistance throughout the renovation process. Membership Assistance Program (MAP) provides comprehensive counseling for Members who are delinquent on their home payments, including establishing payment agreements & providing financial assistance to help Members avoid foreclosure.

NHSSA is a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), which means we are able to make loans to families. We provide loans for mortgages, second mortgages and even home repairs & improvements. Homebuyer counseling, budgeting & credit counseling, foreclosure prevention.

Assists veterans with limited access to affordable housing be able to purchase a discounted home and receive wrap-around services to assist with the challenges involved in home ownership.
