Assists families in navigating the complexities of eldercare options. AACM understands the needs of elders and their families/loved ones, providing the often neglected "management" piece of coordinating services and care for senior or persons of any age with complex needs. Care managers evaluate client situations and provide third-party, objective expertise to help families find solutions to challenging situations. Provide a single point of contact backed up by a team of professionals from the fields of nursing, social work, gerontology, government programs, financial oversight, home care and rehabilitation. Provide ongoing troubleshooting and management of client situations.

Safe Return program: MedicAlert® + Alzheimer’s Association Safe Return® is a 24-hour nationwide emergency response service for individuals with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia who wander or have a medical emergency. Easy, friendly helpful access to services for older adults, people with disabilities and their families in the 12 county Alamo area. Information, referral, and assistance system for seniors, people with disabilities, and their families. Provides assistance in navigating the complex system of services offered by government agencies, nonprofits, and other service providers. ASC has an extensive database on its website, which is supported by systems navigators in the ASC call center. Systems navigators help callers explore options for handling problems related to aging and disability and recommend resources and strategies for problem resolution. The database is also accessible to the public. Go to www.askasc.org for a resource directory for seniors, caregivers, and persons with disabilities.

 Inman Christian Center

Neighborhood-based community center offering childcare for infants, preschool, and school age children. Inman provides emergency food assistance for those in need through its food pantry. Inman seeks to serve the needs of the very low-income children and families who live near the Center and around the Westside of San Antonio. Childcare Program: serves low-income families with comprehensive childcare services. Fees are assessed on a sliding scale or families are referred through the CCS programs of the Texas Workforce Commission, the School Districts serving teen parents, the Community College District, and the San Antonio Housing Authority. Serves ages 8 weeks - 11 years. Summer Enrichment and Recreation Program: 10 weeks summer program, Serving children in the zip code 78207 and some surrounding areas, ages 6-13.
