 Crosspoint- Veterans Program

Crosspoint Veterans program provides residential rehabilitation and case management services, as well as life skills training and supportive individual and group counseling. This 3 to 6 month program provides comfortable, structured transitional housing to homeless Veterans. All services are coordinated with staff from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The program offers Veterans a chance to reestablish a healthy, independent lifestyle through opportunities to obtain medical and behavioral health treatment, secure stable employment or source of income, develop a savings plan and arrange a stable residence.

 Endeavors Fairweather Programs

The Fairweather Family Lodge (FFL) provides case management, life skills training, employment assistance, educational help & other supportive service assists women with mental illness & their children in an apartment style campus. The Fairweather Lodge (FWL) provides case management, life skills training, employment assistance & other supportive services in agency homes located in the San Antonio area for single men & women with serious & chronic mental illness. Monarch Place, Viceroy Village, & Regal Village are apartment complexes that offer rental assistance for those with disabilities, specifically mental illness. Services include: A safe, stable & secure place to live, Life skills training in topic areas such as: financial management, conflict resolution, healthy relationships, problem solving, leadership & group decision skills, Case management services, counseling Must be willing to either work 15-20 hours per week or attend school within 30 days of entrance into the program.

 Father Flanagan's Girls & Boys Town of San Antonio- Long-Term Residential Program

Consists of five homes in a neighborhood setting located of several acres of land. Integrates family style living with the most advanced behavioral technologies. The residential child care environment is based on four behavioral components: training, consultation, evaluation, and administration. Professionally-trained, married couple termed "Family-Teachers" have primary responsibility for seven children (ages 0-17) who live with them in their homes. Much time is spent on appropriate skills to address problematic behaviors.

Haven for Hope is a private non-profit aimed at transforming the lives of homeless men, women and children in the San Antonio/Bexar County area. Partnering with 78 governmental, non-profit and faith-based agencies, Haven for Hope seeks to transform the lives of the homeless by addressing the root causes of homelessness through education, job training and behavioral health services.  H.O.M.E. Intervention Services

We have a transition home for single women or for women with children. A family can consist of a woman with two children or less. Men are not allowed. Each family is assigned to a private room. Some rooms may have one or two beds depending on the family size. Room fees are $500 a month. Each family will develop a case plan and is able to reside in our program for up to a year. There is a non refundable application fee of $25 and non refundable deposit of $50. To qualify: Must be a woman over 18 in transition Must have means to pay monthly fees Must be willing to develop and follow case plan Criminal backgrounds and or evictions will not necessarily disqualify anyone. Our women’s home has been deep cleaned and sanitized. We are now accepting applications as well as implementing new board approved COVID procedures using CDC Guidelines.

 K'STAR- Main Office, Kerrville

Provides counseling, guidance, education and emergency shelter to runaways, abused or at-risk youth and their families. A crisis hotline available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for youth and parents. Counseling for parents to develop their parenting skills, educate and give support. Short term emergency shelter for youth in crisis Youth and Family Services- Is for boys and girls 0 through 17 years old to help reduce and prevent the problems of runaway and truant behavior as well as to reduce the risk of abuse and/or neglect by providing timely and appropriate short-term services to eligible youth and their families. Priority is placed on supporting and strengthening the family unit. Consequently, services provided to the youth and the family while the youth remains in their home is preferred. Short-term emergency shelter is available for youth whose immediate return home is not advisable. Children in Protective Custody- Emergency Shelter is licensed to house twenty children from the ages of birth through 17 years old who have been taken out of their homes by the State of Texas. These children may stay at the shelter anywhere from one to 90 days. They attend Kerrville Independent School District and participate in K’STAR group counseling sessions. Juvenile Probation - K’STAR contracts with the Juvenile Detention Center to shelter youth who are in custody but do not present a threat to the other shelter population. These are the children who need supervision and placing them in the juvenile justice system would jeopardize their safety or create bigger problems for the youth. Other Services- K’STAR is available to Police Departments, County Sheriff Departments and Department of Public Safety to place children for a short period of time at the shelter for their protection and safety when a parent has been incarcerated.

Supportive services must directly relate to the prevention of homelessness & rapid re-housing. These services are provided in an effort to stabilize families in their existing homes, shorten the amount of time that individuals and families stay in shelters, & assist individuals & families with securing affordable housing.
