 Catholic Charities- Archdiocese of San Antonio- Financial Assistance

One-time emergency financial assistance to prevent utility disconnection, financial coaching, and budget assessment for income-eligible individuals and families. Case management staff provides a thorough intake and assessment of the family’s financial state in order to provide the best possible plan to help them move toward financial stability and self-sufficiency. Also utilize the Clothes Closet and Food Pantry to assist clients with obtaining their basic needs at no cost, reducing the client’s cost of living expenses. Referrals for additional Catholic Charities programs, employment, community resources and government assistance will also be provided to those in need.  Corazon Ministries (Travis Park United Methodist Church)

Corazon assists the marginalized and homeless populations through a variety of programs. * Wednesday Nights - Healing Service, Prayer Picnic, and Prayer Circle. Each Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., Corazon opens its doors for Gospel and a hearty meal. * Sunday Mornings: Café Corazon - Every Sunday morning 8am-10am, a team of volunteers provides a meal, fellowship and spiritual guidance. Showers, hygiene kits and clothes closet are available on Sunday mornings. * Donations of clean, machine-washable clothing for adults are always needed to stock the clothes closet. * Medical Clinic - Medical professionals donate their time on Sunday mornings to provide free checkups and medical care. * Volunteers - Corazon relies on volunteers to serve in its programs every week. * Deborah's House is a transitional housing program for women in transition from a substance abuse or emotional trauma recovery program.

Grocery Box Program: Twice a month (every other Thursday) approximately $100-125 worth of canned food, bread, dessert, non-perishables, dairy, diapers and produce are delivered to hundreds of families and individuals in need by church partner family mentors from outreach programs. Hill Country Silver Crown Program: The elderly and disabled are provided with Depends, wipes, and other personal hygiene products to assist them in maintaining good health.
