 Disabled American Veterans

Serves disabled veterans, their spouses, children and orphans. DAV employs a corps of National Service Officers (NSO’s) who represent veterans and their families with claims for benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Department of Defense and other government agencies. Veterans need not be DAV members to take advantage of this outstanding assistance, which is provided free of charge. Veterans requesting assistance in initiating claims, filing claims and status of claims, should first contact the DAV Offices located at the Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Hospital or the Frank Tejeda Clinic, National Service Officers (NSO’s). This chapter also has a DAV Community Thrift Store located at 1047 SE Military Dr, SA.  South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) / North Central Federal Outpatient Clinic

Outpatient clinic on northside of city with limited services. Lab, Xray, Pharmacy, General Practicioners. An active ambulatory/primary care program which provides outpatient services to veterans throughout South Texas.

Hours: 8:00 - 4:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 10:00 - 4:30 Wednesday; closed federal holidays
