ARCCC is a 12-county coalition administered through Bexar County Emergency Management Office in coordination with the Sheriff's office. The 12 counties are the same as our 2-1-1 counties. The goal of the council is to help match operating needs of area first responders with the skills and abilities of available volunteers and provide an efficient network for community leaders and organizations to utilize and manage the volunteers. ARCCC provides information on how to join any of the following disaster response agencies: Citizen Corps, Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.), USA on Watch, Fire Corps, Medical Reserve Corps, or Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS).

Provides mediation services to individuals living in or businesses operating in Bexar County. Offers people involved in civil disputes a way of settling problems without the expense, time and trouble of going to court and without taking the matter into their own hands. In situations where mediation is not the only possible solution, the Center also offers referrals to other organizations which may provide appropriate services. Part of Senior Community Services Division, recruits volunteers for activities and programs needed by the community and assigns volunteers to areas matching their personal interests. Examples: •Providing transportation for those in need;•Education assistance for children through mentoring; •Assistance to our countries military and their families; •Information assistance at libraries and museums; •Providing the community with information on health, nutrition; •Teaching public safety through local law enforcement agencies; •Helping seniors in need at senior centers or nursing homes; and more. RSVP is a part of Senior Corps, along with Foster Grandparents and Senior Companions. Senior Corps is administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency that improves lives, strengthens communities, and fosters civic engagement through service and volunteering.

Offers Nutritional Programs, which include both on-site congregate lunch program and Meals-on-Wheels Program. Also offers a Transportation Program, which provides area transportation to the senior center members who are no longer able to drive. * Rainbow Senior Center has 2 vans dedicated to bringing seniors to & from the center. Rides are $1.50 each way and need to be scheduled at least a day before they are needed.
